Fitness-before-and-during-pregnancy
Current lifestyle and food habit, it’s getting difficult now a days to get pregnant naturally. I have seen few of my friend and relatives trying for years and failing and finally throwing so much money and taking help of advanced medicines or ivf to get pregnant. In India this situation is getting worse.
Me working as a software developer 9am to 9pm with irregular food habit and no time for exercise and always tired, was getting worried, can I conceive naturally?? Especially when I was 15kg overweight with 35%fat and poor BMR(muscles mass).
The one thing that kept bothering me, Definitely being in sinagpore I may not afford any treatment for getting pregnant. (bitter truth).
I can not change my office timings, but I can change my food habit. I had to lose weight and take good nutrition before trying to conceive.
But then again, I had very less time to cook proper balanced nutrition daily, and the difficulty was to measure whether the protein, fiber or carbs I am taking is correct.
So i started taking 2 times Herbalife shake, 1 proper meal and 1-2 snacks in month of September 2019 And started counting daily cLories in and out.
I didn’t lose any weight in fest 4 weeks, but I felt a boost in energy. And I started feeling good about myself and by end of 10 weeks I had already lost 8kg and 4inches from my belly. By January 2020, I had lost amazing 12kg, have gained BMR and lost more than 7 inches from my body and now I am wearing small size clothes.
In feb 2020, we got pregnant and I continued my shake and supplements through out my pregency. My supplements included fiber tablets, multivitamin, cell activator, joint support, aloe capsules. Which helped in smooth digestion and kept me fit and active.
The best part was I was able to eat everything I love till I was admitted in hospital, no heart burns, no indigestion. And I was getting sound sleep. Not much back pain or joint pain.
I was admitted in hospital on my 39th week and I was doing light zumba in November 2020( I was getting labour pain, so expected a normal delivery) . After my caesarian operation, I was discharged in next day and I have able to feed my baby by 3rd day and do house chores by 7th day. I do get some backapain every now and then, but overall I am very active and Energetic.
This was all due to good nutrition before conceiving and during pregnancy.
